The Blackstars will also take part in the Four-Nation tournament in that features Japan, Chile and Tunisia as part of the build up to the FIFA World cup QATAR 2022 in November. - Reports 

Returning in the squad list are Daniel Afriyie Barnie of Hearts Of Oak, Mubarak Wakasu, Jonathan Mensah and Kamaldeen Sulemana. The 3 players have not featured for the Black stars since the AFCON in Cameroon. Daniel Afriyie Barnie of Hearts Of Oak and Augustine Okrah of Bechem United have also been included in the squad.

A lot of Ghanaians were raising concerns about the returning of Mubarak Wakasu for not having any minute on the field in the just ended season. But that is the decision of the head coach and the technical team.

The current squad list welcomed new faces who have completed their National Switch to play for the Black Stars. 

HEAD COACH OF THE SENIOR NATIONAL TEAM, THE BLACK STARS, OTTO ADDO HAS ANNOUNCED HIS SQUAD FOR THE 2023 AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS (AFCON) SCHEDULED TO KICK OFF NEXT MONTH (JUNE)

Among the fresh names are Daniel Afriyie Barnie and Augustine OKRAH. 

Ghana are in group E for the qualifiers with Angola, Madagascar and the Central African Republic.

In addition, the four-time Afcon champions, Ghana, will play two International friendly games with Japan and Chile ahead of the world Cup.
